Hi there!
Welcome to The Lumeni Notebook - a personal journal of inquiry, curiosity, and thought written by a lifelong autodidact for other lifelong autodidacts. Here, I intend to journal my learning across multiple disciplines with an audience that resonates with an insatiable passion for learning and connecting different ideas into cohesive frameworks.
I intend to imbue my readers with a deep curiosity and a passion for learning things, not because they are easy but because they are hard. Having disparate interests in seemingly non-aligned fields has given me an opportunity to nurture perspectives that have a lot of dotted lines of connections, often going unnoticed due to their ubiquity.
For instance, linguistics has a lot in common with math, astrophysics has a lot in common with microbiology, and quantum physics has a lot in common with evolutionary sciences. These are statements that might seem bizarre at first. But as we learn about the dotted lines that connect these disciplines, the picture starts to become clear.
If what I said interests you, please stick around and subscribe. I intend to keep all the content on this Substack free for now. But I would like to set the expectations straight by stating upfront that the content that I will share here may be rigorous and long, and without strictly adhering to a particular schedule. The focus is to write something meaningful and share a learning experience instead of writing factoids with clickbait titles.
To start with, here’s the list of fields that you may come across being discussed on this Substack:
Technology
Science
Math
Literature
Arts
Philology
Linguistics
Philosophy
This is by no means an exhaustive list. As we progress, we shall keep increasing the scope of our learning.
Once again, I welcome you to this community of multipotentialites. I hope you and I together can build a world where curiosity is cherished and learning is celebrated.
It would be better if you create a discord server for the same.
